That's BS. My copy doesn't need to activated over the internet, and even if you download WGA it'll work just fine, plus it never runs out of verification keys. >:)

I used to run a dual-boot of WinXP and Ubuntu 8.04 a loooooong time ago, but now I just single-boot Windows XP from HDD and boot Ubuntu from a USB Flash Drive.

What operating system are you using? 32 or 64bit? Version of Snes9x? Is the text at the bottom of the window white when you load the game?

Hmmm...neat. I'll ask around and see if anyone around here is willing to give away their XP if they upgraded to something after it. Of course, since I'm dealing with ordinary people, actually putting my request in simple terms that they can understand will likely be a huge challenge.

Might wanna take that bit of convo to PM, as you're skirting legality. I personally don't care, as I have a "special" copy of XP that is what I run as well, but better safe than sorry.

Still running XP Home and this about a year long install now. I think that I should clean it up a bit but I am too lazy to do so and besides there really isn't any performance decrease yet.

Windows 7 now, apart from my server which is still running Tiny Vista, but thats just because I am too busy to muck around reinstalling Windows on it.

I have 2 Lappys that run Win7 atm & they tend to be the main two I use. My Desktop (it's a BEAST!) dual boots WinXP & Linux Mint. I also have an older Lappy running XP that I'm about to turn into an HTPC.

My server is running XP with Cygwin.

It makes me cry. I need a proper Linux machine.

Just built my self a new computer which is good. So now I am running windows 7. Nice but they could have used something different than just NTFS for over ten years now, but I digress. Other than that nothing much new here.

I don't have anything running Win3.1 right now except a virtual machine... but I do have a box that's meant to run DOS/Win95 for those games that are too old and don't like Win7.
