FMOD modes tend to have more bugs than XAudio2 or DirectSound and doesn't sound nearly as clean IMHO. Change the sampling frequency to 31850Hz instead of 32000, as you will notice a reduction in crackling (it doesn't reduce the quality of the sound as it's impossible to tell a difference of 150Hz). ...

Yoshi's Island works perfectly, as I've used it many times on that version.
SnesPurify will make the ROM clean, or in other words, make it so it doesn't have any weird headers in it, hopefully making it usable - http://www.filefactory.com/file/b54ch75 ... purify.rar

You're right. Yeah, I missed interlaced output. What game does use hires/interlaced mode? Seiken Densetsu 3 uses it every time text shows up on the screen; if you make a savestate when text is shown, the name of the save will look squished. Here's a comparison: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh...

If you are referring to the buffer length: that setting has no effect on avi recording. Oh  I didn't know that, but I adjusted the frequency to 32000Hz and the problem seems to have disappeared. As to why I wasn't aware of this before, or why I never noticed it making a difference, I'll neve...

Recording an AVI: Can crackling audio be neutralized?
Hey, I have a question about recording AVIs from Snes9x 1.52, is there any way to get rid of the annoying audio crackling when playing back the AVI? When I load a ROM, the audio sounds perfectly fine (no crackling), but when I record an AVI (regardless of the codec used), it always crackles. What ca...

Yes, replace it. Replace what? I don't know what in bloody blazes you're talking about. I did replace it, with that exact command, and it still didn't work when I opened the batch file. Am I not missing something in the notepad? Code: @echo off snes9x -hdmatiming 84 That's exactly what I used. And ...

You may want to try bsnes or SNEeSE in that case. There are some caveats though: bsnes - You might have issues running games that use SA1, Mode 7, or Super FX. SNEeSE - There is no support for SA1 or Super FX, and Mode 7 support is iffy depending on the game. Shouldn't that other one be SnesGT? Its...
