Re: *Wired* DS4 Controller Compatibility w/ Snes9x (PC)
the only issue i've ever had using a DS4 is if Steam is running and is setup to configure the gamepad. with that disabled, i've never had an issue using a DS4 on either my desktop or laptop, wired or via Bluetooth, with no additional software.

BearOso (the primary Linux dev) is more active on GitHub than this board; you may have better luck cutting an issue on the GitHub issues page.

Re: Fullscreen option not working V1.54.1 Windows
works for me on 1.60 (x64) on win10 - if I'm fullscreen when I close snes9x, it'll be fullscreen next time I run it.

it's the comma (,) key on Windows - the setting is tucked away in Input -> Customize Hotkeys.

Re: Slowdowns on a specific game
more than likely, the slowdown is present on actual hardware (meaning the issue is actually with zsnes's lower accuracy). you can try out the options under Emulation -> Hacks - see if setting an overclock on the CPU gives the experience you're looking for.

if you deleted the directory that contained snes9x, then you also deleted the default save folder.

Re: SNES9x 1.60 not responding after monitor sleeps
confirmed on 1.60 x64 on Win10. audio is piped over HDMI to my TV via a GTX 960; snes9x goes unresponsive if I power cycle my TV.
OP, in case this is manufacturer-specific - what kind of GPU are you using?

Not currently - this would be a feature request.
As a workaround, you can use File -> Save (or Load) Game Position -> Select File. You can also copy savestate files into other folders, or rename them.

Re: SRAM saving files but not loading in game
First, if you haven't explicitly defined a save path, please do so. This helps prevent the program from looking in the wrong location if it's started in a nonstandard way (such as by a file association with the working directory set to the file location). I'd also recommend making sure "Auto-Sa...

Re: How do I play 'BS The Legend of Zelda: Third Quest' ?
the original game (NES/FDS) requires you to use the select button on the menu screen; it wouldn't surprise me if this game is the same.

Re: Snes9x 1.60 x64 Shutting down as soon as opneed
first, there's no need to change any compatibility settings for snes9x 1.60 under Win10 - so i would undo any changes you made there. second, are you getting any error messages, or is Snes9x just closing silently? if it's closing silently - you didn't accidentally configure a hotkey for "Quit S...

the default hotkey for "Show pressed keys" is ',' (comma). this can be found on page one of Hotkey Customization (Input -> Customize Hotkeys..).
