First off, if you still have that XP computer, try using the latest Snes9X on it, to see if the black screen goes away.
additionally, it could be your sound drivers or some other sound setting needs to be tinkered within Snes9X -- what is your computer's specs (video card, sound card, RAM, CPU, etc)

Re: Terrible sound skipping
Don't worry, I can put it in the topic and the OPFiria wrote:I'd like to reiterate: I'm using an iPod 2nd gen, and the latest version of snes9x ex. Windows versions aren't going to do me any good. (I'd edit In that info to the OP but the opium to edit that post is gone.)

So long as you set everything up the same way as it was before (eg: saves are in C:\saves, games are in C:\games, etc) it should load and save just as well as before.

Re: Mixed Layers
sorry, but you will have to take this up with whoever wrote the hack. additionally, recent versions of Snes9X have gotten more accurate, so it's likely this hack may have taken advantage of an emulator bug.

Re: Secret of Evermore (german - PAL) freezing issue
Why need roms a fix? Is it not fixable in the emulator? If the ROM was bad, but can be fixed (the right way of course), then it's a ROM issue. Otherwise if it's patched due to emulator incompatabilities (such as the Super FX hacked copy of Metal Combat: Falcon's Revenge) then it needs to be address...

If you accidentally load a save, then close out of Snes9X EX, your previous autosave is gone forever.

Re: Buttons don't show up on android, bug?
I have a galaxy s4. and even at 6.5mm I still had all my on screen buttons. Working on my Note 3 too. (Of course I have to turn it up to 10mm cuz at 6.5mm and a huge screen it's a PITA to use, as if it wasn't enough of one already. lol) GS4 has Android 4.2.2 and the GN3 has Android 4.3 By any chanc...

Re: Secret of Evermore (german - PAL) freezing issue
Those were only .ips patch files, no roms ;) Oh S star I T!!! Sorry... I assumed those were ROMs. OP, feel free to put that link in, IPS files themselves are fine. However, ROMs are indeed a no-no. If I understood it correctly he used ucon64 with the -l switch to remove the slow-rom copy protection...

first place I tried checking was in the system options for a way to load the BIOS... I didn't see an option.
Of course, you ARE using Snes9X EX or EX+ right?

and if you unzip the rom? Ive unzipped them and get a massive list of things! Which is the game?! if you unzipped the file and got a massive list of files, that would certainly explain why it wouldn't load.. as I said, look for the file that is a *.smc or *.sfc or whatever extension. Could you prov...

First off, please don't post ROM sites, even the names of them. Additionally please try not to needlessly bump your thread, have patience. this is a web forum, not a 24/7 live tech support service. Next off, Project64 and Z S NES are Windows emulators of the Nintendo 64 and the SNES, respectively. i...

Re: Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past controls issue
Which dungeon? There were several kinds of levers. If the lever looks like a upside down T, you hold down A and push Down on the control pad. (found in the room before sanctuary and in the light world version of the second dungeon.) If, on the other hand it looks like a reversed P, all you do is kee...

Re: Assign keys on Android (Chrono Trigger)
Hi - Nope didn't sync up anything. I'm only using my Android phone, so I don't have any sort of external input to it.... So, I'm limited to only using the touchscreen controls - so, when I try to work out where to go from there, I'm not getting particularly far. Well, therein lies the problem.. you...

Re: Buttons don't show up on android, bug?
Which Galaxy series? S series? note series? Tab series? what number of either series (example: GS4 = Galaxy S4, GN3 = Galaxy Note 3, GT10.1 = Galaxy Tab 10.1)? EDIT: that's impossible to go past 6.5mm as there's no such option to go lower. Verified on Snes9X EX and EX+. I have a galaxy s4. and even ...

Re: Assign keys on Android (Chrono Trigger)
The issue is that I don't know how to do it. I can see an "input device setup" option, but I then hit a brick wall. Any ideas? I'm only using my phone so don't have a controller. first off, did you actually sync up your keyboard or physically connect via USB OTG? (this is the pre-requisit...

Re: Assign keys on Android (Chrono Trigger)
Actually I do believe it would be the same as it is for Windows, just get your keyboard or controller or whatever and you should be able to assign all three buttons to one button just fine.

Re: SNES9x EX android frameskip
Why not try using Snes9X EX+? It's based off the latest code and should run on your device just fine.
And the frameskip Auto or 0 is coded into the emulator, both Snes9X EX and Snes9X EX+ are set to this.
