Re: Speed increase is not working for me on version 1.55
The newest testbuild will automatically disable sound sync if speed is not 100%: http://s9x-w32.de/dl/testbuilds/?C=M;O=D

Re: Sufami Turbo / multicart
I've added a command line option in the newest testbuild: http://s9x-w32.de/dl/testbuilds/?C=M;O=D
This will load it with both carts. If you only want to load one cart leave the CARTB parameter empty but still specify the -cartb switch.
Code: Select all
snes9x.exe CARTA -cartb CARTB

Re: Sufami Turbo / multicart
I don't think that's possible at the moment. I'll see if I can add something for the next version.

Re: backup sram
1.55 has a "Select File" option under "Load Game Position" - otherwise you can rename the .oops to .001 and load it that way.
You don't have to wait 5 minutes, that's just the minimum time between when oops files are created.

Re: Speed increase is not working for me on version 1.55
For speed increase to work you need to disable sound sync. Otherwise the sound sync will cause it to slow down to 100% again.
I'll try to add something for the next version so that this happens automatically.

Re: Porting to new platform
For porting to a new platform you should take a look at docs\porting.html in the source.
You can ask questions here or on github, we'll try to help if we can.

Re: Snes9x for Windows unable to make use of mapped drives?
I'm not sure why this would happen, s9x is displaying a regular windows open dialog. On my system it displays all mapped drives on the left side or if I navigate to "my computer".

If you load the .oops file then that will also restore the SRAM.

Re: Dual Monitor Question..
It should theoretically be possible if you set Input:Background to On and PauseWhenInactive to FALSE in snes9x.conf.

Re: Snes9x 1.55
Sorry about that, I forgot to turn on DirectDraw for the release. I've uploaded an extra zip with a version that supports DirectDraw and will try to remember it when releasing future versions.

Snes9x 1.55
Thanks to some dedicated work by qwertymodo, Snes9x 1.55 now has MSU-1 support, including the MSU-1 distribution pack. The MSU-1 is an SNES expansion chip invented by byuu (author of higan ), you can find some more information about it here . LuigiBlood also did some work on increasing the BS-X Sate...

Re: backup sram
From the readme: Fool-Proof System ----------------- If you quit the game by error without saving your long-time progress, try to find '.oops' file in the same folder as freeze files. If it exists, try to load it. It's a freeze file automatically generated if you don't save anything for a long time....

Alternatively you can use the most recent testbuild which includes an option to select a state file to load.

You probably have the s9x exe in a location where it cannot write to its folder.

Re: Crash during Final Fantasy 3 Battles
Use a more recent version with the new sound core.
In a regular compile this should not even trigger, asserts are usually removed from release builds.

Yes, I'm still reading the forum. I might add a save and load menu option where you can manually specify the filename.

Re: Compiling snes9x 1.54.1
The APU debugger is currently not working, if you do not need that you can compile with the patch I posted here: https://github.com/snes9xgit/snes9x/issues/215
