Okay it passed the screen just fine with sound and direct texture settings turned off. It can't be OS or GPU related because I got the phone last Wednesday and its new. So why does it work fine with texture and sound off as apposed to when both are enabled? Which of the two options was causing the ...

Re: Donkey Kong Country crashing on Droid 2 Global

Working fine on my original Droid which I use as my test platform. The complete phone freeze is definitely strange and might be an OS or GPU driver issue (Snes9x EX uses OpenGL, other emus use the Android bitmap functions). Try it with the Direct Texture and Sound options off and see if it still hap...

This is a problem with the Bluetooth stack of any phones using the HTC Sense build of Android. Currently your only option is to install a different version of Android like CyanogenMod which has proper Bluetooth support.

Turn off Multitap support in the options and reset the game, it should start up normally.

Re: Trying to configure touchscreen controls on my DroidX

Hi! First of all, thank you so much for making this emulator available on my phone! The emulation is fantastic! I am, however, having no luck with the touchscreen controls :/ the ABXY configuration is jumbled by default and sadly counterintuitive, at least for me. When I try to reconfigure them in ...

Re: Snes9x and iPad

Hello to everyone! The emulator works like a sharm on my iPad but I'd like know how can I change ROMs (if so) without closing the application. On iOS you don't have a hardware menu button unless you're using a bluetooth controller so to enter the menu just tap the top right corner of the screen. Th...

Sent out version 1.3.23 which includes the updates mentioned above :)

Also for iOS users, the package hijacking issue from the other Cydia repo has been resolved peacefully so the hosts code is removed.

Within the actual SNES9x EX menu, the south button (B on Classic Controller, X on the iControlPad) is the "Accept" button and the east button (A on CC, B on iCP) is the "Cancel" button. This is what I meant by "MS-style"; in Nintendo consoles (and also Japanese version...

I've now tried both CC and iControlPad controls in the emu, they all work quite well minus the input lag, which is probably reduced on more powerful devices. I didn't see any options to remap the controls within the menu though, and found I kept hitting the "cancel" button unexpectedly. S...

Right, you need to go into the menu and unbind or change the "Exit" key, it's at the very bottom.

Good to hear you have it working. The recent 1.3.19 update displays /sdcard properly to avoid any confusion.

Shouldn't be a problem, just try browsing to /mnt/sdcard and it'll default to the last directory you used without needing a re-install. You're right about the /sdcard directory not showing up though. I have symbolic links to directories hidden in the file browser which is why you didn't find it. Thi...

Classic Controller support is in the works, just need to finish looking up some info on the protocol :)

Btw, what device are you running? I have some Android-specific updates including backgrounding support coming soon.

Re: snes9x ex for Andriod - How to load games?

That's odd, was your SD card unmounted when you first ran the app? It should default to /mnt/sdcard, let me know if it's present on your phone.

I payed for about 3 hours yesterday without a problem and now whenever I enter a battle the screen freezes. Snes9X EX (port for Android, iOS, WebOS)

Hi everyone, I'm getting ready to release a port of Snes9x for Android, iOS, and WebOS very soon. It's based off of version 1.43 and the feature-set is very similar to the TG16 and NES emulators I've ported previously. I tried to use the GIT version initially but it runs over 2x slower than 1.43. Af...
