Re: Slowdown Super Mario World 2
This is probably in part to the inefficient Super FX emulation core that Snes9x currently has. MarioSuper, what hardware specifications do you have on your computer? (CPU, RAM, OS, etc.)

Re: Snes9x 1.54?
It will eventually. We only have a handful of devs, so it takes a while. Remember that the jump from 1.52 to 1.53 took two years. I sure as hell hope this new Snes9x 1.54 gets released sometime. Please refer to rule 3 when asking about when a new version of Snes9x is coming out: 3. DO NOT ask when ...

Re: Joypad mapping weird issues
Snes9x Version 1.43 is outdated. Please download version 1.53 here: http://snes9x.floorchan.org/snes9x-1.53-win32.zip
If you are running a 64-bit version, download this instead: http://snes9x.floorchan.org/snes9x-1.53-win32-x64.zip

Re: Snes9x crashes while launching netplay Lan.
Solution was to download Snes9x 1.51, netplay won't work on 1.53. Works through Lan and through the internet. Bad news is Bomberman series are still a mess in 2 players mode. In battle coop or versus, the game goes crazy as soon as a human player dies for the first time. Each player has a different...

If you're trying to program so that the code runs on the original hardware, try bsnes instead, as it focuses on emulation accuracy rather than system compatibility.

Re: Air Strike Patrol and Doom problems
When playing Doom on Snes9x 1.53 with the 64 bit testbuild, it's graphics are glitchy with dots everywere on the screen and it runs a little slower. Snes9x's SuperFX emulation is mediocre compared to other emulators currently. I recommend using bsnes for now (if you can), but a good compromise woul...

Re: Air Strike Patrol and Doom problems
I have Snes9x 1.53 with the 64 bit testbuild, In Air Strike Patrol, a shadow is drawn under your aircraft but for some reason there is a lack of a shadow making it hard to play the game. Doom has glitchy graphics and runs a little slower. Will there ever be a Snes9x 1.54 someday to fix these proble...

Re: Pulling to the upper left.
So I've been playing Chrono Trigger for about a day and everything was fine. I played some other games and when I came back to Chrono Trigger my character keeps running to the upper left. I'm using a keyboard to play and I don't have any diagonals set. I can't for the life of my figure out what's g...

Re: Help with finding out what is wrong with my menu bar.
I would ditch that version and get v1.53, which you can download at either of the following locations: http://snes9x.bigkidtennis.com/ http://snes9x.floorchan.org/ http://www.s9x-w32.de/dl/ If you're running Windows x86, get snes9x-1.53-win32.zip. If you're running Windows x64, get snes9x-1.53-win32...

Slack is correct. Moderation is the job of the mods and myself, no one else. It's fine to maybe point out that someone is breaking a rule, but even then you risk only inciting further nonsense. Use the report function and let us do our jobs. Also, Camo, by telling him to "shut his fucking mout...

Yes, Winamp has that issue. I would recommend using VLC instead.Jack_Kenton wrote:you know what? nevermind. Winamp lyas them mirrored for some reason. This is a winamp problem. SNES9X was doing it's job.

Did you record using Snes9x's built-in recording option? If so, what codec did you use?

Yes, the only incompatibility is 1.51 and older to 1.52 and newer because we switched sound cores in 1.52.

The only reason said options are there is for games that require you to press diagonal directions. I've never needed to use it.

What kind of sound card do you have? Some types of sound cards can be very finicky with SNES9x's audio.

Re: Overclocking CPU
SNES9x aims to have compatibility with all games and avoid using game-specific speed hacks. If you want to use a emulator with a different focus, then please consider using a different emulator such as UOSNES.
