Re: Game didn't save properly/save file not loading

Re: No Sound, PulseAudio setting crashes Snes9x
You shouldn’t be using sudo to run this. You should also try to use sound settings that are more sensible, like 44100 or 48000 Hz and a larger buffer size (8ms is way too low to achieve smooth sound). anything up to 16ms is below one display frame (at 60Hz for NTSC), so you there shouldn't be any...

sounds like you tried to patch a headered rom when the patch requires an unheadered one (or vice versa).
if you need more info, i'd poke around on RHDN.

if the controller settings have any Turbo or Auto-Repeat settings, disable them.
alternatively, if you have Steam running in the background, it may be duplicating inputs - if that's the case, try shutting down Steam.

Re: prioritise 100% speed over fps
my 7-year old ultrabook with a i5-3317U (1.7 GHz normal / 2.4GHz turbo) can run snes9x with vsync at 60Hz on win10 with only the occasional frame jump (probably because it's re-syncing to 59Hz). my older desktop with an i5-2405s (2.50GHz normal / 3.30GHz turbo) ran happily at 59Hz without a hitch. y...

Re: What does the "buffer length" sound option do?
the sound buffer is a storage space for sound data before it's actually played. the reason for is to prevents skips or stuttering in the audio if something causes a tiny interruption in the generation of audio data - as long as the buffer isn't completely emptied, then there won't be any stuttering....

first off, and please don't take offense to this, but a lot of tech problems are due to not paying attention to detail. all the google searching in the world for "2audioX" won't help you when you're actually having problems with XAudio2. now, to try and help with your problem, a few questi...

Re: Game Save Problems...
this can happen if the save directory is unwritable by snes9x; this is more likely to happen if you put snes9x in Program Files. note that just because *you* have write access to a location, that doesn't mean that all programs do. try defining a save location that will definitely be writable by all ...
