Re: "Snex9x won't run because d3d_xxxx etc can't be found"

What OS are you running? If its Windows 7 or newer make sure you've installed DirectX 9.0c. Here's the end-user runtime: https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=34429 Even though DX11 is installed by default in Windows 7, Snes9x requires files from DX9 that aren't included, hence n...

"Snex9x won't run because d3d_xxxx etc can't be found"

… There are lots of spurious looking websites that offer these kinds of files. Is there a legitimate source for them? It is a direct 3d dynamic link library if I am not mistaken.

Snes9x 1.53 is crashing my soundcard

Mostly right after loading the application, but also (strangely) once after loading a game. I get a BSOD and the error points to my sound card, the cmaudio.sys driver. This is the C-Media Wavetable Synth Device, otherwise known as my Startech PCI Soundcard. Why would this be happening? How can I pre...

Re: "Pixellate" shader doesn't work

I tried it, and while it did give me a picture, it would not animate. It was frozen solid until I turned off the shader.

Not enough VRAM on my system maybe?

"Pixellate" shader doesn't work

Neither DirectDraw nor Direct3D work for me, so I'm using OpenGL. I have an nVidia GeForce 7300 LE as my gpu.

It was working before, and now it doesn't. Is there another configuration setting (likely one of the video settings) that it is incompatible with?

A Stumper - Snes9x on an obsolete mac

:)

I wonder if there's a version of Snes9x that would run under MacOS 9.2? Does anyone here know?

Re: Intermittent slowdown after prolonged use of Snes9x

After two and a half hours of tweaking the sound and video settings, I figured out that it's my wireless adapter. When I disconnected from the internet, the program ran smooth as silk.

Should I just disconnect from the internet when I want to play Snes9x, or might there be some sort of workaround?

Intermittent slowdown after prolonged use of Snes9x

I had Snes9x running full speed with no screen tearing or sound popping for a long time, but now, about every 50-60 seconds, emulation slows to a crawl and Snes9x's % of the CPU shoots up. After roughly 10-15 seconds of this, the game returns to normal, and the cycle starts over. These are my settin...

Re: Snes9x doesn't hide the taskbar when going to fullscreen

odditude is correct; I'm running the emulator in my monitor's native resolution, so there's no switching.

Snes9x doesn't hide the taskbar when going to fullscreen

Rate this one as a minor annoyance, but is there some way I can edit the configuration file so that Snes9x will hide the taskbar when I go to fullscreen? If I right-click on the "Snes9x" tab in the taskbar, it hides it, but I'd really be interested if there's a way to automate this process...

Holy shit. I NEVER in a million years would have guessed that having the Output Image Processing set to "TV Mode" was what was causing the problem. I turned it to "None" and the problem went away completely. This issue is resolved...except that I like TV Mode...oh well. EDIT 1: F...

It's a Gateway 842GM, and I just got this guy installed on it today.

I wouldn't know which processes to start with, honestly.

Tried it, no effect. Shields are down to 57%!

Does this have anything to do with it being the 32 bit version of the program that I'm running on my desktop? Because I don't get these hiccups when I run the 64 bit version on my laptop.
