Wow I can't believe it! Just adding that directory fixed the problem :P Just did some testing on iOS 5.0.1 and indeed the Documents folder is gone by default so new users aren't getting their settings saved. I'll release 1.4.15 soon which moves the config files to /User/Library/Preferences By chanc...

If it's gone, you can easily re-create it by logging in via SSH as the mobile user (default password is alpine), then running the following command:

mkdir /User/Documents

There is no "User/Documents" folder, so I'm really not sure what folder I should be checking the permissions of. Could you tell me exactly where the preferences should be saving? Thanks! There should be a /User folder in the root directory of the iOS device (it's a link to /var/mobile). U...

This problem is caused by a 3rd party app you may have downloaded from Cydia that patches the executable, remove it and try scanning again.

However, every time that I exit the app, the settings revert back to the defaults. On iOS this is normally caused by the /User/Documents directory having incorrect permissions, make sure it's owned by user "mobile" and not "root". It's possible another package from Cydia install...

Seiken Densetsu 3 doesn't work on the latest version of SNES9x EX. It glitches out on file select and in game. Just uploaded the latest 1.4.7.1 which fixes the issue. The problems comes when you are trying to use a 2nd ps3 controller. From what I can tell, every player must use a separate input all...

Finally got a reply after all this time and 4 different messages, though it's just a confirmation that they're currently investigating the issue. Ah well, it's a start at least. I don't want to file a counter-notification yet since I don't know what content was infringed (it's supposed to be listed ...

Unfortunately I cannot reproduce any random crashes on my Droid or Xoom. Can you install aLogcat from the Market and send me your phone's system log directly after it happens?

Make sure your /User/Documents folder has write permissions enabled so the config file can save properly.

Still no reply from Google (I've sent 2 emails and 1 support request via their site so far). It's strange there was no mention of filing a DMCA counter-claim in the email they sent, thought that was required. it wouldn't surprise me terribly much to find out that a complaint was filed by one of the ...

The screenshots are a possibility, but why are other SNES apps using actual in-game images still up? Also, I see plenty of media player apps with screenshots of movies and VNC apps with screenshots of Windows to demonstrate their functionality. Anyone know what the exact legality of using images in ...

Unfortunately the first version of Android for Google TV with Market access won't support apps built with the NDK (even if compiled as x86). Hopefully future updates will add in the necessary support.

So if I understand the Developer Content Policy correctly, this could only be an "Intellectual Property" issue? I.e. a DMCA request from someone? That's what I assume happened, but I'm trying to find out who sent the complaint and the specific part of the policy that was violated. So far ...

Snes9X EX has been suspended from the Android Market

Hey guys, looks like we have a problem. Just got this in my inbox: This is a notification that the application, Snes9x EX with package ID com.explusalpha.Snes9x has been removed from Android Market due to a violation of the Developer Content Policy. Please review the Content Policies and Business an...

Re: Solution

what is GDB? and where, exactly, is this android log? It's the GNU Debugger, if anyone has an EVO 3D and the Android NDK already set up let me know. The Android log is a bit easier to get at, you'll have to install an app like aLogcat from the Market and email me your log directly after the crash o...

Hmm, have you checked the Android log to see if it's a segfault or something else? I can't get it to crash on my Droid or Xoom. If anyone with an EVO 3D has GDB set up I can post an APK with debug symbols to find the exact spot it's crashing at. Saw your other message about Super Scope support. I'll...

Just wanted to report that the semitone problem should now be fixed in 1.4.2. I also enabled sound interpolation after doing some more optimizations to offset the performance decrease, so the sound emulation should be as good as it will get given the 1.43 codebase :)

Re: Use .frz files in snes9x for iphone

.frz files from Snes9x 1.5 are in an updated format and won't work on 1.4. You should instead copy the .srm file back to your phone which contains the battery saves. If using auto-save states, rename the state file (ends in .0A.s96) so the game doesn't retain its previous battery data.
