Re: Bubsy Two-Fur uses snes9x?

If they managed to find Gary Henderson, that is impressive. Apparently no one has heard from him since the early 2000s.

Can you tell which version of SNES9x they were using from your debugger? If indeed they are using something earlier than SNES9x 1.39 (I doubt it), then they might be in the clear.

Re: Bubsy Two-Fur uses snes9x?

I've written a short article on this. The publisher of Bubsy Two-Fur claims to have got permission from Jerremy Koot and Gary Henderson to release this, though the other developers have said they were not contacted. Basically they say they stripped out the other author's code, but that would leave ...

Re: GTK/X11 Port (aka Linux/UNIX GUI)

Is SNES9x-GTK going to be upgraded to GTK3? GTK2 is officially dead now, and Linux distros are abandonding support now.

The only way to play multiplayer F-Zero is to use this customized version of SNES9x. :p

If you want to change Snes9x's license, you have to ask all the past and active developers who wrote codes for Snes9x, but it's nearly impossible. Nearly, but (probably) not impossible. As mentioned, I'd be willing to go to some lengths to see it through if it's what the team wants. And I'm hoping ...

I think the main issue is that some of the past SNES9x authors (ie Matthew Kendora) would not consent to a move to GPL.

It is basically a Ninja Gaiden-esce snes game. Fairly rare, but rather unremarkable.

My suggestion is to ask the author of the hack. It is entirely possible that the hack was designed on an inaccurate emulator, and there are bugs in it.

Have you checked to see if the ROM image is interleaved? If it is, then it won't work.

I've created a #snes9x channel on Freenode, if you want to use that as a dev channel. Same network as the zsnes development channel. With the blessing of the devs, we could make it an official channel.

Extended HiROM mapping

I have this rom hack of Chrono Trigger, but it does not work in SNES9x 1.52. I suspect this is a mapping issue, as they decided to make it a Extended HiROM game. Any word on support on these types of mappings?

It doesn't really matter much anyways, the game is so bad that I doubt anyone would play it.

Really, the glitch is better seen in action rather than from a static screenshot. When you first load up the game, the glitch is pretty obvious.

Would it be possible to get some file folder select options? I like to keep my screenshots, save files, and savestate files in separate places, and not in the hidden .snes9x folder. Yes, definitely. I've added an issue to the bug tracker here: http://code.google.com/p/snes9x-gtk/issues/detail?id=31...

First off, thanks for the release. I have always preferred zsnes over snes9x, but with this release I have switched. The sound is great, and the GTK interface is perfect. Second off, I have had some issues where snes9x would run very slowly after loading a ROM. I suspect this is a sound issue, but I...
