Deforst deleted my entire game

ive been playing zelda a link to the past alot lately and was almost done with the game, when i needed to find the key on my keyboard which would just hold his sword out in front of him. i was pushing keys one by one and i hit the 0 key bringing me back to a defrost screen, when i clicked the screen with zelda on it i was brought back to the begining of the game and all my data was lost. the game only opens in this state now and my save file isnt an option anymore. WTF!!
