Snes9x icon on all my files!!

Can anyone help? Whenever I download certain files, they are named "snes9x". This prevents me from using said file. Actually, once I downloaded snes9x, the icon was on almost ALL of my roms(no matter the system). How do I get rid of this, or at least stop it. I've deleted snes9x but the icons are still there.
