Snes9x 1.53-win32-x86 hangs when attempting to open (cont.)

a ROM while another one is playing. Doesn't matter which ROM I'm already playing, but Snes9x locks up completely after selection File > Open ROM.

I'm running this on a HP Mini 1030NR:

Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz
1GB RAM
16GB Samsung pSSD
Intel GMA945

I have yet to try using a older version of Snes9x, a different emulator, or even on different hardware. I'll report back once I test those things out.

I'll also see if I can get a screenshot and a Windows Error Reporting Dump.

IIRC I've already fixed that - try a recent testbuild

Oh yeah, here's the Info XP provides me:

EDIT: Just tested the testbuild, seems to work, I just plopped it in my snes9x directory and renamed the old executable. Though upon exit I get this error with the testbuild:
The CG runtime is unavailable, CG shaders will not run.
Consult the snes9x readme for information on how to obtain the runtime.
