I just got SNES9x EX for my Comet (because it would be great to play old games on my phone) but almosr every sigle rom I have tried has VERY laggy sound and frame rate. The only one so far that doesn't have problems is AD&D Eye of the Beholder.

Is there a list of games trhat won't work on this phone or is there a way to fix it?

I checked the specs on this device and it appears to use an old CPU (same as the original G1 from 2008) so performance isn't going to be great. You'll just have to wait until more optimizations are in place. :)
