Steelseries 3gc joypad

Post by rbhayward »

Does anyone know any way to get the Steelseries 3gc usb game controller/ joypad to work with SNES9X? Specifically, my kid loves Secret of Mana (so do I) and I can't figure out how to play the game with anything other than the keyboard. I also have a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro, can't get that to work either. Thanks!

If the game controller is DirectInput compatible, it WILL work with Snes9x.

Make sure your controller's drivers (if any) are installed. Then go to Control Panel, and go to Game Controllers, make sure your controller(s) show up there, and calibrate them.

Make sure to change the settings in SNES9x as well - hit the Input menu, and select Input Configuration. If you click on the little text box for the Up key, you can then press the direction on your controller and it'll change the key binding and drop down to the next box so you can just run through it in one go.
