multiplayer over wifi with psp and laptop

Alright guys, I've got a question. I have a friend on his way over right nnow and he's gonna use my psp to play snes games(snes9x TYL 0.4.2 i think). I'm using a laptop. Can the two connect via wifi and play together?

and for added measure, DON'T use the ad-hoc mode. instead, have the PSP connect to your LAN's wireless network and have the PC act as server.

I'm connected to the internet only wirelessly,and it works perfectly fine for surfing the internet and playing games.With a good router and wireless card,there isn't too much of a noticeable difference from a wireless connection to a standard wired connection with typical internet connection speeds.PSP.You should buy it because it has internet,you can play games on it, and you can also watch movies.You also save a lot of green stuff.The PSP system is the first truly integrated portable entertainment system designed to handle multiple applications music, video,photo,internet,and wireless connectivity,with games as its key feature.
