SNES Sound problems

I've been having some issues with the Sound System. I've been running Mario All Stars with the sound/music, and every now and then, it temporarily freezes up for up to several minutes.

I've been thinking, that the sound drive I have installed is not compatible. Can someone help me with this problem? :?:
