Snes9x.com

SNES9x -
using XBox 360 controller, wireless.
if 360 pad powers-off due to idle time, SNES9x crashes.
I do have Xpadder on in the background. I don't know if that could be related.
This is repeatable. I have lost hours of game progress.

Addendum:
I have tested it with xpadder off - same result.
This also occurs if I power-down the 360 pad manually.
every time.

So there it is: if 360 gamepad turns off, SNES9x crashes.

Did you try the latest testbuild ?

I have been using Snes9x ver. 1.54.1
