Hi, I've been using snes9x for 8 months now primarily because I can transfer the save states between my PC and my Android phone.
However, I mostly play on the PC, and since some of the SNES games are very hard I save quite frequently (ie every 3 minutes). This leaves the text on the screen explaining that the save just occurred floating for quite some time. Since it is at the bottom of the screen, and I play RPG games a lot, the fact that it stays there until each of the underlying pixels refreshes makes a lot of the menus unreadable.
I've tried solving this problem and googling for solutions for maaany hours today, and a few weeks ago but I couldn't find a solution. I'm about to give up on using snes9x because of this, but before I do I thought I would post this here and maybe someone can tell me my google skills suck and there's a simple solution.
Image attached: showing a mild version of the problem.
Pixels not refreshing = snes9x unplayable
