I can't use the same save file on Android and PC...

Hi,
I am currently playing Chrono Trigger on my Android phone. I am at the part where I have to enter a code using L+R+A. This doesn't work on my phone.
I want to get around this issue by playing that bit on my PC and then resuming my game on the phone.
I tried copying the save files from my phone to my pc, but I get an error message when I try to load them.
Both my phone and PC are running the latest available version os SNES9x.
What am I missing?
