Strange Controller Issue

System: Android
Controller: Afterglow PS3 controller
I have had this connected for years but recently I wiped my phone and cannot get it fully functioning again. I have my device mapped to generic gamepad. All of the system bindings work and even the d-pad and stick all function properly in fame and in menus, but the circle, triangle, square, and x do not work in game.
I have tested the bindings but no change. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
