I got a diagonal line running from left top to right bottom in window mode. It seems like this case is not common as I found little resource on the net about this.
Can anyone please help me on this? Thanks a lot!!

My computer spec:
Windows 7 32-bit, ATI Radeon

the two polygons comprising the display aren't lined up properly.

if you don't have the latest drivers for you video card, update them. besides that, you can try using OpenGL instead of Direct3D.

Switching to OpenGL solves the problem, but it causes the screen to flash
