Snes9x GX problem

I accidentally deleted the settings.xml file from the app folder and now the emulator won't load no matter what I do. I have tried to delete the emulator files from the SD card, redownloading it from the homebrew browser, from the pc and inserting the "fresh" emulator folders into the SD card but nothing works. It will not load the emulator menus, it only shows a blank pge with the logo at the top.
