Controller settings not saved in Japanese

Hi, if I execute snes9x-gtk on Japanese Linux environment, the controller settings are not saved.
If I run it like

$ LANG=C snes9x-gtk

then, the settings are saved, but, if I run it in Japanese, the saved settings disappear.

This is now fixed in git. The problem is it was translating the controller settings when saving the config file, but the config file is supposed to be ASCII-only.
