snes USB tata clone gamepad triggering Bravia controls

The directional and start select buttons work fine but the ABCD buttons on the snes clone gamepad
trigger menu options on my 2015 Bravia TV (inputs selection etc). I really want to play SNES w authentic controllers directly from the Bravia.
