Xbox ONE controller troubles: Windows 10

Hello. I've been having trouble with my Xbox ONE controller input. I am currently running Windows 10 so all controller drivers are pre-installed, so that isn't the issue, and I make sure it's in Joypad#1 and to have that as the only thing enabled. I've been trying to use it in Super Mario World, but it just wont load. Any help?
