I recently got the latest version for the Windows 7, and tried to speed the emulation up...and nothing. The message displays saying the speed is up, up to 4 m/s per frame, but nothing. Oddly it works when I slow down, but I don't want that.

I tried messing around with the frame skip but nothing worked. Help?

You need to disable "Sync Sound" and set frameskip to automatic.

Won't that make it sound as bad as Zsnes?

If you speed up the emulation it will always sound bad
