Gamepad #3 and #4 keep disabled

Post by grumo »

Hi,

I've got a slight problem using Snes9x 1.53 for Windows.
Everything works fine except the gamepads #3 and #4 that keep acting like they're disabled during game.

I'm plugging 3 plug-n-play USB gamepads. They're recognized by Snes9x without any problem as I can configure the buttons and all. Then - of course - I do set them all on "enabled".

But when I launch a 3-4 players game, like Super Bomberman or Dragon, it only proposes the 2 players mode (in Bomberman for example, 3rd player settings are COM or OFF), just as if the third gamepad wasn't plugged and enabled, but it is.

When I enable a fourth gamepad and let the buttons assigned to the keyboard it's the same thing. Only gamepad #1 and #2 are enabled in the games.

I'm quite sure this isn't a pad/driver problem as 2 of them are ok and the problem is the same with the keyboard input...

Does anonyone have a solution ? Maybe it's a known problem but I found nothing in the search tab.

Thanks a lot by advance.

You need to enable the "Super Multitab" (in the Input dropdown menu). It's the same as on the real SNES, where you have to replace the second controller with an adapter that allows you to connect multiple joypads.
