Hello, I have some problems with the SNES9x emulator. Some ROMs (or maybe even all) have sound problems and later the game crashes. As an example I'll take Super Mario World. I go to a level and everything is normal, but later I suddenly have sound problems, like scratching. If I die then the game crashes (not the emulator). There are no problems with the ZSNES emulator, but I do not want to play with it.
Regards, Keetah_.
PS: sorry, for my bad englisch. I'm from germany.
Sound issues + Crash
Re: Sound issues + Crash
Let me get the "dumb" question out of the way: Are you using the newest version of Snes9x?
After answering that, what kind of information is displayed about the ROMs you are loading? Improperly dumped ROMs can cause all kinds of issues. Saves being corrupt, various things in game not working properly, etc.

I don't recognize SMW: 7 Gold Statues, so I Googled. Is this the game you're trying to play: https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=5226 ?
If so, it says in red near the bottom: WARNING: This hack is confirmed to be broken in SNES9x and bsnes. [Reason: Not otherwise specified]
Since it is a hack, it's very likely that something the ROM hack's author does in/with the game isn't correct and causes the crash.
