Configuring "barrel" effect in shader

Configuring "barrel" effect in shader

Hi,

I'm using the "oldtvshader-configurable - Curved.cg" shader from the analog shader pack 3 in Snes9x.
I can't work out how to configure the "barrel" effect.
There are two values in the cg file:

#define BARREL_VAL -0.00
#define BARREL_VAL2 0.00

I've messed about with these for ages, but it just causes the screen to skew or go completely mental.
Does anyone know what ratio or values give a nice barrel effect for a 4:3 aspect ratio?
