You may need to remap the buttons for it to work, then restart SNES9x.

First things first though - if you go into the Input Configuration screen, select a button, and press a button on the controller, does it change the mapping like it should?

That's a known bug and will be fixed in the next version.
Yeah, I figured that one was known, at least. It just makes it difficult to test for this bug. :)

I can't get this to reproduce. Running Windows XP SP3, with stretch on and bilinear filtering off, fullscreen gives me chunky pixels and warping on stretch points.

And every time I go from fullscreen to windowed mode, SNES9x crashes. :/

Cheat codes aren't in a format that can be edited with Notepad. You'll have to put them in by hand in SNES9x itself. Open SNES9x, start a game, open the Cheat menu, and select 'Game Genie, Pro-Action Replay Codes'. Type the cheat in the box labeled 'Enter Cheat Code' and click 'Add'. Check the box n...

As long as Windows can tell the joystick buttons are being pressed, you should be able to remap all the SNES controller buttons to whatever you want. Under the Input menu, select Input Configuration... and press the button you want after clicking on the little text box showing you the keybinding. It...

One thing I've noticed is that the Android version doesn't appear to have support for the Classic Controller. It's not a huge deal as I can just use the standalone Wiimote Controller app, but if I could help in any way to get support for it in the application without the workaround, I'd be glad to!

I'm afraid the only advice I can give past that is to upgrade your hardware. SNES9x isn't the most efficient of programs out there (though it is pretty fast at doing the actual hardware emulation), and the graphical system in Linux tends to be even worse. :/ Sorry I haven't been able to help much. ...

First things first - take a look at the directory listed in the error. Does it exist? Does the file exist? Do you have full permissions on the directory and, if the state file exists, do you have full permissions on the file itself?

Frankly, there's not going to be much use to chasing down the people selling ports of SNES9x. They're popping up like weeds, and shutting one down is only going to make the person release it under another name. The only way to deal with it is to undercut them, like you're doing. I've been watching i...

It sounds like there might be a problem with the profiler not liking the two different ways SNES9x deals with input. If it can map the keys, it's using directInput, but it seems for some reason it doesn't stick with that once emulation starts. Maybe it's trying to keep controls exclusive to the setu...

This is a common issue with cheap keyboards. You don't necessarily have to bind L and R to the same key - you just have to bind them to keys that don't conflict with each other. Try using homerow keys (ASDFJKL) as most keyboards will allow you to press these simultaneously. Barring that, try binding...

Have you tried re-setting the controls in Input Configuration? It -should- be able to tell the difference between the controllers - and it's possible that it's been set identically between player 1 and player 2. Worth taking a shot at, at least.

Well I think I've succeeded in removing Pulseaudio. I prevented it from starting by removing it from Startup Applications and I also created a file in ~/.pulse to prevent it from autospawning. Now when I select Pulseaudio in Snes9x I don't receive any sound. Since I removed Pulseaudio, I'm assuming...

I think a big reason for the difference between the two OSes is because the graphical environment in Linux is somewhat less efficient (and significantly less supported) than the same in Windows. As much as it has been a focus of development, Microsoft's spent a -lot- more man-hours on it, and graphi...

Yeah, as it turns out he only got a hold of Gary, who provided one of the 96 or 97 builds - which Yong didn't use. It's a mess. :/
