Re: Snes-9x 32-bit vs 64-bit
@nintendomaniaque
if you are running a 64bit operating system on your computer (whether Windows, mac os or any linux/ubuntu variation) and you are using a modern PC then yes it's better to run the 64bit snes9x than the 32bit version
depends on what kind of 64bit OS and computer you have

Re: Directx12 compliancy
I assume you are running Windows 10, which is the only version to officially have DirectX12 support. and maybe you are using a graphics card with native DX12 support as well the problem is that some people are using older versions of Windows before Win10 (or older video cards) that do not support Di...

try posting it onto an image site like imgbb.com first, then gather the proper image link(s) to it from that site
btw, snes9x screenshot files are generated in png file format

Re: Sound problem
sometimes it could be an issue with the Win10 OS where certain Win10 updates can screw up the sound sometimes MS releases buggy updates for Win10, so removing those updates and hiding/blocking them with this tool from MS may help. also check the audio drivers used on the PC. if they're old, try upda...

Re: BS Zelda AST sram
I'm sorry to bring this old thread back but any questions about the BS Zelda AST game should be asked in its dedicated forum site: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/bszelda/bs-the-legend-of-zelda-ancient-stone-tablets-f4/ probably go there and see if you get a response or if you find an answer somewhe...

Re: Make BearOso's download site the first one on website
though the main snes9x.com downloads page does not mention the github site so here's the link to it
https://github.com/snes9xgit/snes9x/releases
no need to go to the google site anymore
also versions 1.59 and 1.59.1 have been pulled and were replaced by 1.59.2

Re: Wow, I didn't even know 1.54 released lol.
there was a 1.54.1 release that followed shortly after 1.54
and there was supposed to be a 1.55 release in May as that Github snes9x site mentioned it but has not come out yet.

Re: snes9x hangs and crashes on launch
thanks for the help guys, its odd, but 1.54 worked just fine even if i have a x64 system - its odd but im pretty sure its MS fault, they somehow had it so even UMS and MSI AB were somehow interfering with each other as well as NGE shadowplay no longer working but thanks so much of the help. btw are...

Re: Audio issue while minimized (v1.54.1 Windows)
try disabling your internet connection while running snes9x.
otherwise install or upgrade your CPU to a faster one, which also affects sound.
edit: I noticed in your specs you have an Intel i7 920 @ 2.66GHZ CPU. Put in a faster i7 processor like at least an i7-950 (3.0ghz) or i7-960 (3.2ghz)

Re: Snes9x Sound/Audio Quality Issue
are you using a 32bit or 64bit version of snes9x 1.54.1? and how fast is your computer and what OS are you using? (CPU type & speed, how much memory [RAM], OS version) I nearly don't have the sound crackling problems with the super metroid game using snes9x 1.54.1 x64 on a Windows 7 x64 edition ...

Hi Steve. You probably downloaded the wrong DirectX package. what you should have gotten was the DirectX End-User Runtime " Redistributable " package from here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109 It's bigger than the normal DirectX runtime download but you can in...

snes9x does not have a separate volume control in the program so as snes07 said, you have to use the volume control from Windows, Mac or Linux

Re: What version was that ?
i'm not sure what version of snes9x you put on the xbox but it was certainly not an official snes9x version from the snes9x web site.
there should be an About menu command from the snes9x help menu to check the version.
