OK... HAVING HACKED out every trace of SNES9x from the Windows Registry.. I decided to try SNES9x out AGAIN! OR at least the (x64) build anyhow... the files are probably still there.. C:\Users\ folder look for that odd named user folder and dig down to C:\Users\UserProfile\AppData\Roaming\Snes9x <-- at least it might be storing there... not sure since I use everything related to Snes9x stored in a single sub-folder to my EmulatorsRoms folder o...

what version of Windows are you running on?
specs? like gfx card...

it sounds like you are running on Window 10... as Win10 does NOT realy support DDraw at all...

1) you are not using the most up to date version which is v1.54.1 from here: https://sites.google.com/site/bearoso/ 2) you did not even mention what OS you are running and what version of it..?? the above link has Windows 32bit AND NOW Windows 64bit binaries.. plus src if u feel inclined to compile ...

did u patch it correctly?
did it call for a headered or un-headered rom?
did u verify the byte size of the rom image as well?
or the checksum?
rom patching can be mighty particular about these things...
