I believe the problem might lie in entering lots of cheats at once. I was just able to have Snes9x 1.53 retain 153 cheats by entering one cheat at a time and then clicking OK to close the cheat menu, then re-open the cheat menu and repeating the process for the next cheat. I was just able to have Snes9x 1.53 retain all 8 of those codes by using the "clear" option in between entering each code. Don't know if that means anything.

Here are the 8 codes I tested in 1.53 and not in the test builds as they seem to show this issue slightly less with more codes entered.

I've been having a problem with Snes9x 1.53's cheat system. It also happens in the test builds. If I were, for example, to enter 8 cheats and OK out of that menu and then go back into it, I'd find that I only have 7 cheats listed. It's a bit of a bother entering many codes only to have various lines...
